How to Obtain a Work Permit and Visa in Canada
According to the most recent statistics, over 200,000 foreign workers migrate to Canada each year on a temporary work abroad permit or visa. Immigrants, on the other hand, do not need to go through the point-based assessment because the Canadian work visa, also known as the Canadian work permit, is the key to working in Canada.
There are some criteria on a checklist to be granted a work abroad visa or permit to obtain a temporary work visa or permit. In addition, depending on your country of citizenship, you will need to obtain a Temporary Resident Visa before traveling to Canada (TRV).
Labour Market Impact Assessment should be obtained, If necessary
The majority of job postings require the employer to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Employment and Social Development Canada provides the LMIA (ESDC). As a result, the employer must work with the employee to complete this process.
Some job offers, however, do not require LMIA; these are LMIA exempt work permits, which allow you to work in Canada with only work abroad visa.
Once a positive or neutral LMIA is granted, the Canadian employer will provide the employee with a copy of the LMIA, which will be used to apply for a work abroad visa or permit in Canada.
After you have completed the preceding steps, you can apply for a work permit or visa for Canada.
